About Construction in LA
Over ten years ago, my neighbor, who also happened to be a very good friend of mine, found herself in an incredibly difficult situation. She had hired someone she knew personally to remodel her kitchen. Trusting him, she paid him in full up front. The guy kept responding to texts and making false promises of I will be there next week, and next month, but never actually came back to finish the job. Six months later, with no cabinets, no counters, no appliances, she came to me and broke down.
It took me a second to process this, but then I told her: I can do it for you! I thought, how hard can it be? I always had a passion for beauty and a good eye for design. I said, Just pay for the materials and labor, and I’ll create the most beautiful kitchen for you. She looked at me with a look I’ll never forget. Her eyes lit up. All of a sudden, she got excited and was on board. That look. I’ll never forget. That look gave me a new purpose, a new life mission, and the journey of a general contractor began.
In an industry where it’s so hard to find honest, fair, and kind people, Construction In LA is a company built on fairness, accountability, and kindness, in what many perceive to be a very stressful process. Through the years, we’ve learned that just like her, so many people fall victim to unreliable contractors, inflated pricing, poor communication, and broken trust. The construction world is full of good workers, but not always good people. We work very hard to make sure we exceed expectations, build friendships, and restore trust while building spaces of love.
